Walk A Mile In Her Shoes
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international men’s march to stop sexual assault and gender violence. Alpha Tau Omega- Alabama Theta Eta Chapter is challenging the men at the University of North Alabama to quite literally walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes. This fun event provides a space for men to start talking about difficult issues: gender relations and men’s sexualized violence against women.

One Place of the Shoals is proud to be participating in the national “Start By Believing” campaign this April. We hope you will join us and take the pledge to “Start By Believing” when someone comes to you and tells you they have been sexually assaulted. Most victims of sexual assault do not report the crime to law enforcement. Many never tell anyone. Then because so few assaults are reported – most perpetrators walk free. It’s time to end this cycle. It all starts in our own
