Human Trafficking Awareness Month
On behalf of the community, the Governor’s Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force, the Child Trafficking Solutions Project and Detectives Justin Adams and Wes Shaddix, of the Florence PD, Kim Bevis, Director of Cramer Children’s Center, Chelsea Sparks of Ahsa Kiran and One Place of the Shoals want to thank Mayor Andy Betterton, Florence City Council President Dick Jordan and Members of the Florence City Council for designating January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This is an important step to educate the public about human trafficking and the role they can play in preventing and responding to human trafficking.
