Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international men’s march to stop sexual assault and gender violence. Alpha Tau Omega- Alabama Theta Eta Chapter is challenging the men at the University of North Alabama to quite literally walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes. This fun event provides a space for men to start talking about difficult issues: gender relations and men’s sexualized violence against women. Join us in the GUC Performance Center this Friday, April 6th at 5pm as we kick off the #WalkAMile event with District Attorney Chris Connolly. Participants will then walk from campus to Court Street to join Downtown Florence Unlimited's First Friday fun. One Place of the Shoals and Safeplace, Inc. will have information tables located in front of Rosie's. Monetary donations will benefit the UNA Center for Women's Studies' Personal Care Pantry.
