Shoals Tinsel Trail Tree

Stop by to see our tree at the Shoals Tinsel Trail, located at the Visitor Center in Florence. Our tree features Athens and all his Facility Dog friends. Athens is one of eight dogs located in Alabama. They are service trained facility dogs that work with clients in a criminal justice setting. The dogs were all placed by Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Each dog is part of the HERO program of the Office of Prosecution Services.
